Here are some of the research studies that members of the GLAD Study can take part in. Some of these studies are designed to give us a better understanding of what treatments work for whom, and why.
Some explore the characteristics of people for whom treatment has not worked. Others have a broader goal of understanding what leads to the development of different mental health disorders.
Please note that everyone is invited to complete all of the questionnaires below. Whilst you may think that some of these topics are not relevant to you, it is still useful to get the full picture and understand your experiences.
For example; whilst you may not have experienced an eating disorder, it is still important for us to know this by completing the ‘‘Eating Behaviour” questionnaire.
The Eating Disorders Genetics Initiative (EDGI), led by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Mental Health BioResource (part of the NIHR BioResource), researchers at King's College London and Beat, the UK's eating disorder charity, is a project set up to support studies exploring risk factors for eating disorders.
